    Recruiting Periods & Visits

    Evaluation Period

During an evaluation period, college coaches may observe a recruit competing or practicing, but may not have in-person contact with the recruit off-campus. The coach can watch the athlete play; they just cannot converse with them at that event.

Showcase tournaments and club events often fall during evaluation periods, which is why coaches attend but do not approach families directly.

Digital and phone communication remains allowed.
