NCAA Division III

D3 can be an excellent fit for athletes who want to compete without the time demands of D1, and strong academics can offset the lack of athletic aid. Many D3 athletes receive academic and need-based packages that make the net cost comparable to lower-division options with athletic money.
Eligibility is certified by each institution, not the NCAA Eligibility Center. This means D3 athletes do not need to register with the Eligibility Center, though they must meet the school's own admission standards.
