Commitment & Signing
Early Signing Period
The early signing period is a brief window in the fall when recruits can sign a National Letter of Intent, typically for one to three days depending on the sport. Athletes who are confident in their choice often sign early to lock in their commitment.
Signing early removes recruiting uncertainty, but it requires being certain about the fit.
Athletes who are not ready can wait for the regular signing period.
